Broken City is an upcoming political thriller movie directed by Allen Hughes based on a script by Brian Tucker. The film is starring Mark Wahlberg, Russell Crowe, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Barry Pepper, Kyle Chandler and Justin Chambers. The release date of Broken City is set for January 18, 2013.

Plot:
"Former cop Billy Taggart (Mark Walhberg), who's now a private investigator, is hired by the Mayor (Russell Crowe) to find out if his wife (Catherine Zeta-Jones) is having an affair. When he confirms that she is, she soon turns up dead and the private sets out to expose a vast political conspiracy."

Did the mayor have his wife killed? Or did someone else order her execution to set up the mayor?
